Taco Bell Is Testing A Lot Of Fried Chicken Lately

Ah, Taco Bell, you used to be so simple: Mexican fast food classics only. But this year, Taco Bell has dived head first into fast food breakfast territory, and now they are even making fried chicken. Yes, fried chicken; once, the only Yum! Brand you could get your fried chicken fix at was KFC, but now at Taco Bell you can sample the double crispy chicken quesadilla, double crispy chicken crunchwrap, dipped crispy chicken grillers, and of course the new biscuit taco stuffed with fried chicken.

So why the change? Apparently Taco Bell is undergoing an image change, or perhaps an image expansion, trying to attract a wider user base that extends beyond young, college-aged guys looking to grab a midnight snack.

Taco Bell's new crispy chicken may even taste familiar. Brand representatives say that Taco Bell chefs consulted KFC about the best way to make fried chicken, and menu items featuring crispy chicken will be expanding nationally soon.
