Lay's Do Us A Flavor Winner Finally Revealed

After months of vote-tallying, flavor-rallying  and chip-munching, the winner of this year's Lay's Do Us a Flavor contest has been crowned. The winning flavor is Wasabi Ginger, created by New Jersey nurse Meneko Spigner McBeth, will be hitting shelves soon. And you can say goodbye to the other three finalists: Cappuccino, Cheddar Bacon Mac N Cheese, and Mango Salsa. For her awesome flavor combination powers, McBeth will receive $1 million or a portion of the chip sales.

In case you're wondering whether or not to buy this Asian-inspired chip creation, The Daily Meal taste test had concluded that it tasted like "a spicier, tangier version of the old stand-by sour cream and onion." We are a bit disappointed that our favorite, Bacon Cheddar Mac N Cheese didn't win, but there's always next year. Let's just all breathe a sigh of relief that the all-around wretched, bubblegum-esque Mango Salsa didn't come out on top.
