Papa John's Makes Burger Pizza, Because America

Papa John's is back at it again with its burger pizza mashups, bringing back Bacon Cheeseburger pizza and introducing Mushroom Swiss Burger pizza. They will be on the Papa John's menu through June 26, and cost $10 per pizza, according to a release.

The Bacon Cheeseburger pizza features beef, hickory-smoked bacon, dill pickle slices, sliced Roma tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and a "zesty burger sauce." The Mushroom Swiss Burger pizza is topped with beef, crimini mushrooms, sliced onions, mozzarella and Swiss cheese, and a creamy garlic sauce.

The chain has teamed up with Indiana Pacers All-Star Paul George for a campaign to introduce the new offerings. "Papa John" Schnatter, founder, chairman, and CEO, said "I know how to dunk a slice of pizza in our famous garlic dipping sauce, but I thought I would go to an All-Star like Paul George to show me how he dunks a basketball. Little did I know, there is more than one way to dunk a slice of pizza!"
