The Best Young Culinary Minds: Zagat's 30 Under 30 List Is Released

The up-and-coming stars of the New York City restaurant scene were featured on Zagat's 30 Under 30 list, which highlights the best chefs, bartenders, sommeliers, restaurant owners, and even a mozzarella expert in the New York culinary industry. Many of these men and women are already household names, and none of them have hit 30 yet.

"From a hot-sauce sommelier to a food-truck trailblazer serving up social justice, this year's crop of young food-world talent is making us feel ridiculously unaccomplished," Zagat's editorial team says in the introduction to the list.

Some of the list highlights include Emily Acosta, 29, the cheesemonger at Eataly and first female winner of the cheesemonger awards; Janine Booth, 27, co-owner and chef de cuisine of Root & Bone; Christine Collado, 29, the sommelier at Daniel; Angela Dimayuga, 29, executive chef of Mission Chinese Food NYC; Jordyn Lexton, the founder of the Drive Change social justice food truck; Theo Lieberman, 26, head bartender at Eleven Madison Park;  Daniela Soto-Innes, 24, chef de cuisine at Cosme; and Daniel Pucci, 27, cider director at Wassail.
