Mo Hodges at BIG adds smokiness to a classic margarita with some mezcal and ground black pepper.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 ounce silver tequila (T1)
  • 1/2 ounce mezcal (Del Maguey Vida)
  • 1/2 ounce bergamot juice
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce grapefruit liquor (Combier Pamplemousse)
  • 1/4 ounce simple syrup
  • Salt
  • Ground pepper

DIRECTIONS

Rim glass with salt and ground pepper. Combine first 6 ingredients in a shaker, shake, and strain. Top with grapefruit twist.
