Eater Lucali still serves some of the city's finest pizzas, and the dining room is a real beauty. [Eater 38 Member]
Metromix With a strict diet of pizza and calzones, they specialize in Brooklyn-style pizza, cooked in a brick-oven with thin, crispy crust topped with fresh mozzarella, basil and sausage. Slices are prohibited
jake f.some of the best brick oven pies in the five boroughs. put your name in early and then go somewhere for a drink; they'll call your table is ready. oh, and it's BYO and they only serve pies and calzone
Jcrowley Everyone says this is the best pizza in NYC. I disagree. It's fresh, but not worth $24. Go to Enoteca instead and get the mushroom pizza with truffle oil. A few blocks away on Court & Union.
Aram S.The calzone is the best I've ever had. Hands down. Zero doubt. You must eat it. In abundance.
Slice Pizza Blog Get here early. Even then, there's a crowd waiting to get in. Or just wait till the dinnertime rush thins out a bit. You should order a calzone here, too. It's every bit as good as the pizza.
JiaJia F.Best pizza I've ever had plus there is a hot chef that looks like Jon Hamm.
Lisa M.Impress out of town guests without breaking the bank. Bring two bottles of wine. Get 1 pizza and 1 calzone to split.
Elizabeth C.The most amazing Brick Over Pizza in Brooklyn, maybe New York? And the owner, who makes the pies, isn't bad either. No reservations, but you can call ahead to put your name on list.
alex b.Bring a bottle of wine and a six-pack and eat some amazing pizza - carroll gardens FTW
OMGICU 1) This is some of the best pizza in the city. 2) Jay-Z and Beyonce drop in regularly. 3) There is no need for 3.
Steven E.Do not miss this New York (Brooklyn) gem! Perhaps the best pizza on the planet. Get the plain pie first..you'll have a second one for sure and can add the mushrooms then!
Corey G.The Pizza @ Lucali's lives up to the hype
Elyse E.Definitely get the hot peppers on your pie. They're real good. Put your name in at 5:30, hang out in the hood or BYOB and hang out till your table's ready. Order extra sauce and dip your crust in it.
Jordan Best pizza in NYC & byob, but seriously get here EARLY (8) or you'll never get in. This place isn't for amateurs! Get the calzone!
debz Byob. Cash only. Opens at six but you should get here around five or the wait will be ridiculously long.
Bas O.Get the calzone. You're welcome.
David Z.The best pizza in nyc. Hands down. BYOB is just gravy at this point but definitely take advantage of that. Come early or expect to wait a while Th-Su.
Abby F.worth the wait! best pizza in NY! If you're in walking distance you can call ahead and put your name down and they'll call you when your table is almost ready!
Talia G.Apparently on Sunday nights you can have a casual run in with Jay Z and Beyonce here
Cynda R.You have to wait outside. Be patient. Pizza is good
