This marinade recipe is a favorite of chef Anthony Meidenbauer because it represents all of the basic flavors of his favorite cuisine: Asian.
Mix all of the ingredients together and marinate sliced short rib for 12 hours prior to grilling.
Staples of Asian cuisine such as ginger, daikon, rice vinegar, and spicy chile sauces like Sriracha add bright, fresh flavors without lots of fuss.
Sriracha has good heat but also has flavor - its mild sweetness comes from sun-ripened chile peppers as well as sugar and garlic.
