How To Make Pumpkin Wine

The last thing that probably crosses your mind when you think of wine is pumpkins, but it's October and they are everywhere! We love cooking with pumpkin, so we were intrigued when we stumbled across a myriad of recipes on how to make pumpkin wine.

This is the coolest way we can think of to use the glorious orange squash, so roll up your sleeves, prepare to get messy, and whip up a batch of fragrant pumpkin wine. It's easier than you think and only requires six ingredients! Pumpkin wine can be made dry or sweet depending on your palate and extra ingredients such as ginger, clove, and cinnamon sticks can be added to impart a warm spiciness. This is a great use for any extra pumpkins you have lying around and will be a treat to enjoy at Thanksgiving with family friends.

Not into channeling your inner vintner? Order a bottle of pumpkin wine from Wisconsin's Three Lakes Winery for only $10. It won't rival a first growth bordeaux to be sure, but it will add festivity to your Halloween party.
