The 2017 Grammys After-Party Menu Is Truly Enviable

Your Grammys party is sure to be incredible, whether you just pop some popcorn, order takeout, or just drink through the award show. But, no matter what you serve, it's probably not going to be as fun or indulgent as the official after-party. We got a look at the Recording Academy's planned menu for 5,000 exclusive guests after the Feb. 12 award show, and it's sure to cause plenty of envy.

Music industry insiders and some of music's biggest stars will be dining at buffet stations that are themed after A Midsummer Night's Dream courtesy of Pantina Catering. Each of the four stations (two appetizers, one main course, and one dessert) channel the fairy-inhabited forests of this signature Shakespeare work through the use of natural greens, earthy flavors, and more than a few whimsical touches.

Appetizers take inspiration from the forest setting and mystical atmosphere of this play. Seasonal vegetables such as purple and black kale, Medjool dates, and sweet potato help to bring a nature theme to the "Forest Foraged" station, featuring mouth-watering dishes such as wood-grilled beef sirloin skewers, quinoa salad, and grilled flatbreads. Meanwhile, the "Mystical" station has playful spins on classic comfort foods such as an ambrosia fruit salad, chicken pot pie, and three-cheese mac and cheese.

The extravagancy comes into play with the main dishes under the "Enchanted Gala" banner. There's something for everyone here, including baby field greens, herb-crusted Atlantic salmon, and a red wine braised short rib. The latter, which is served with crispy shallots and au jus, seems too decadent to resist.

And what whimsical buffet would be complete without dessert? Fittingly entitled "The Fairy's Land," there will be petit fours in every flavor imaginable, doughnuts, tarts, and jarred desserts make for the perfect sweet bite to cap off a long Grammys night.
