New York's Bar Fiori In The Langham Place Now Offering An Upscale, Weekday Express Lunch

Many New Yorkers are familiar with Langham Place's Michelin-starred restaurant, Ai Fiori, however, most have no idea that adjacent to the classy dining room of the restaurant is an all-day dining and drinking destination. Though the full menu is offered in the lounge or bar, Bar Fiori offers unique options that include an express lunch for $29; happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and a late-night wine deal in which all bottles on the wine list are 25 percent off, Monday through Saturday night.

The express lunch is perfect for those seeking the famed Ai Fiori experience but may not have a lot of time midday to do so. You can choose one appetizer and one entrée: Starters include a green salad with manchego cheese and croutons; spring pea soup with whipped ricotta and crushed English peas; and duck confit served with house-made pickles and country bread. Main dishes include the indulgent white label burger, an 8-ounce La Frieda burger with bacon marmalade, American cheese, pickles, and pommes dauphines; classic spaghetti with pomodoro and basil; and a niçoise salad with grilled swordfish and haricot verts.

You can also order from a tasty selection of snacks if you still find yourself hungry. Choose from savory options such as arancini rice balls with Parmesan fonduta; lobster toast with lemon aïoli; and a black label 18-month aged prosciutto plate.

Those interested in the happy hour will be able to munch on the scrumptious snacks found on the lunch menu; smaller portions of pasta, as well as other main courses; discounted beers and wines by the glass; and cocktails from the bar's celebrated drink menu, such as the Oro Bianco made with bourbon, honey, ginger, and lemon; or the Royal Blush, a vodka-based concoction with morello cherry, mint, lime, and prosecco.

Next time you find yourself on Fifth Avenue, pop in to this luxurious spot and treat yourself (and maybe a co-worker or two?) to a posh, midday dining experience.
