Hennessy Cognac Teams Up With Café Boulud In Celebration Of New Campaign

Tomorrow, Hennessy, the cognac brand that's been around for over 250 years, is launching a new campaign, aptly named, "Harmony. Mastered from Chaos."

The campaign showcases the "complex variables that are mastered in order to create the harmony and balance of Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège... the campaign will visualize nuances of complexity and mastery that go into the five stages of the Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège Cognac-making process... visuals will depict how, year after year, the Tasting Committee overcomes unpredictable variables (chaos) that affect the creation of the balanced, harmonious finished product that is Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège."

For those of you who don't know what V.S.O.P stands for, it means Very Superior Old Pale. Recognized for its harmony and balance, this Cognac is a blend of 60 different eaux-de-vie from Cognac's top growing regions.

That said, whether or not you're a cognac drinker, this campaign is also good news for lovers of food (everyone, am I right?).

Along with the creative and dynamic campaign comes the custom Hennessy bar bites menu, offered at Café Boulud, by executive chef Aaron Bludorn from July 6-12. The menu includes innovative parings such as the shrimp cocktail with a traditional cognac cocktail sauce; Hennessy foie gras, and a decadent molten chocolate cake with ice cream infused with Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège.

To celebrate, the Cognac brand will roll out "Cognac Classics Week" in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles from July 14 – July 21. Cognac classics, such as The Sazerac, The French 75, The Sidecar, alongside recipes with new twists on the classics, will be crafted with the V.S.O.P Privilège throughout the event.

Mastered from Chaos." pairing section.

The beverages to be featured alongside the limited time dishes include the Privilège 75, Pimms no. 1, fennel, lemon, and Champagne; Adoracion, Campari, orgeat, raspberry, lemon, and mole bitters; and Provencal Sazerac, lavender, summer blossom honey, and absinthe.
