Adding a variety of colors and textures to your salad can prevent monotony.

One of the easiest ways to fall off the healthy-eating bandwagon is to eat foods that are boring, flavorless, an unsatisfying.

Healthy salad recipes often get a bad rap because the majority are made with leafy greens and watery vegetables — they won’t keep you full and won’t offer much flavor. Luckily, there are a number of healthy salad recipes that are hearty and delicious.

Citrus Steak Salad
This romaine-based salad uses high-protein lean sirloin steak to help keep you full. And it’s full of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavor thanks to the fruit, hot pepper sauce, and goat cheese. Click here for the recipe.

Radicchio and Wheat Berry Salad
What could be more perfect with crunchy, bitter radicchio than sweet apple and a maple syrup dressing? Blue cheese adds the perfect amount of salt to this salad and cooked wheat berries provide filling whole grain goodness. Click here for the recipe.

Quinoa Vegetable Salad
Who says salads have to start with leafy greens? This vegetable-loaded salad has protein-packed quinoa and a sweet and savory homemade ginger-soy dressing. Click here for the recipe.
