Cook The Book: '50 Shades Of Grey' Trilogy

E.L. James' sexy stunner, 50 Shades of Grey, has been riding high atop the best-seller charts for the past few weeks. The books originated from Twilight fan fiction that earned a ton of readership thanks to steamy scenes between Edward and Bella — a book deal for these stories soon followed and now, James has scored a movie deal as well. The books have left many readers hungry not only for passion, but for decadence, as the main character lives the lavish life.

In 50 Shades of Grey, the Twilight tale of a relationship between the world's favorite vampire and his pouty-lipped girlfriend becomes a whole other dark and twisty tale. Meet mega-millionaire Christian Grey and his smart-ass, bold-mouthed lady, Anastasia Steele — these two make up one of the most intense literary relationships to date.

The books are attracting more and more attention, so it's time to jump on the bandwagon. Read and cook your way through the series, beginning with 50 Shades of Grey, onto 50 Shades Darker, and ending with 50 Shades Freed. Main character and control-freak Christian Grey makes an overprotective point of feeding girlfriend Ana very often, so there are plenty of dishes to pull from the book onto your own dinner table. Peruse the dishes listed below and have a potluck or host a killer book party. Each dish pairs with a scene or a sentiment between Christian and Ana. Looking for some sips? Start off with wine, beer, or margaritas and have coffee and Earl Grey tea afterward, but make sure it's Twinnings!

Whatever you decide, remember to actually eat the food — it's very easy to get distracted with these books. Don't say I didn't warn you.
