Chicago Hotel Celebrates A Month Of Baconmania

The ACME Hotel Company in Chicago is celebrating its love of all things bacon with a series of events running throughout April to honor the cult-favorite Baconfest Chicago happening from April 25th to the 26th. The festivities will kick-off with a bacon-themed cocktail party on April 1st followed by a weekly series of Kevin Bacon move nights, bacon cocktail demonstrations, and free bacon nail art for visitors.

The nationally renowned Baconfest Chicago event offers cured-meat enthusiasts a varied concoction of bacon dishes whipped up by Chicago's best chefs. Exhibitors at the event include 'bacontrepreneurs' from across the country, as well as various bacon-friendly brands. Then there the festival's biggest honor: The Golden Rasher awards goes to the chefs who exhibits the greatest achievement in the bacon arts. Proceeds from the event go to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Tickets for the festivals range from $100 for general admission, to $200 for VIP entry and can be purchased online.

Meanwhile, the ACME Hotel Company staff promises their hotel will also be decked out in full bacon décor to echo the spirit of the event, as well as a lobby filled with meaty décor and a bacon-themed gift for guests on arrival. The venue is also offering room package that will include double tickets to Baconfest itself. More information can be found on their website.
