Lemon peel is a great deodorizer; put some in the bottom of your trash can to eliminate odors.

There are a few things that happen in your kitchen that are just plain frustrating; little bits of food still stuck to the blade of your blender after you wash it (not to mention the mess inside your microwave), Costco-size condiment bottles that won’t fit in the refrigerator door, and little bits of egg shell where they’re not supposed to be (like your omelet or cake batter), to name a few.

Luckily, you don’t have to be frustrated for long; blogger Alexis Kornblum of Lexi’s Clean Kitchen has some simple solutions that use common items that you already have at home like lemons, plastic wrap, or a fork.

My favorite? Number four; not only does trick make cleaning your microwave a cinch but it deodorizes at the same time. Say goodbye to smoky, leftover chili smell!
