8 New Recipes For Store-Bought Pasta

Everyone cooks pasta for dinner — and most of the time, for convenience, we use the dried store-bought kind. There is a bounty of varieties available, from thin angel hair to spirals of fusilli. And from so many different types of pasta come many delicious recipes.

With all the recipes for dried pasta out there, we decided it would be the ideal theme for this week's SWAT (Sharing With A Theme). We put the Culinary Content Network and our staff to the test to come up with store bought pasta recipes, and here are some of the highlights:

  • Kristine Cocchiarella from Real Food Girl Unmodified shared with us her recipe for chicken pasta primavera.  This recipe is loaded with fresh vegetables, sun-dried tomatoes, and topped with toasty pine nuts.
  • Anna Voloshyna from Divine Cuisine shared with us her recipe for a classic pappardelle pasta that she elevated with a creamy cheese sauce and black truffles.
  • The winner this week is Peter Block from Feed Your Soul Too. Block's recipe for tomato, basil, and garlic pasta is perfect for a quick homemade dinner with loads of fresh aromatics and herbs.

All of the recipes featured can be made at home for about $20 or less, excluding the cost of small amounts of basic ingredients such as butter, oil, flour, sugar, salt, pepper, and other dried herbs and spices.
