Foursquare Tips

  • Zums' never fails to please. My extended family has been coming here for over 40 years. We celebrate our births and honor those we have lost with a gathering at this neighborhood mainstay.
  • Sunny Anderson says the Jagerschnitzel & Spaetzle, at Zum Stammtisch in Glendale, NY, is to die for on Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Find more tips at Food Network Local.
  • There's no better place to get a taste of the nabe's rich German heritage than at this Bavarian resto. Stammtisch serves all the schnitzel, sauerkraut and brats you can handle in a cozy pub setting.
  • Best of all, though, is an amazing take on steak tartare, deep-red and nearly fatless beef molded on bread points and garnished with capers and raw onions. And no egg!
  • so many great draft German beers, served in a Zum Stammtisch stoneware stein... don't waste your time on a Bud Light bottle! Prost!
  • If you want the Spaetzle you'll have to go there Tuesdays and Thursdays. Apparently there's limited availability on a traditional German side dish at this supposedly German establishment.
  • Excellent atmosphere, service A+, and must try goulash soup, prime rib, and veal jeagerschnitzel. Go go go.
  • Go for the Goulash Soup at the bar with a warm pretzel.
  • Ask for a 2l steifel bier glas and Goulash Soup.
  • Pat the bartender, enough said.
  • Besides the authentic best German food around Zums serves up the best cheeseburger you will ever eay. Fresh meat and a well sized burger.
  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the goulash!
  • Potato pancakes are awesome. Nice selection of Beer. Appetizers are great. Staff is wonderful.
  • La comida, el servico, la atencin y la decoracin de llevan todos mis puntos!!! Excelente!!!
  • Everything was delicious! I'd definitely go back.
  • Kaesespaetzle is creamy and delicious. Jaegerschnitzel is great.
  • Place is legit. Dat steak tartare tho. 1/2 will do.
  • Jerry and Julie tend the bar together on Fridays and Saturdays, which means you'll not be left high and dry.
  • Goulash and chicken Riesling--try the dirty beer!
  • The decor is amazing...and the staff makes you feel like you are back in 1940's Germany
