Foursquare Tips

  • Fuck Mission Chinese. Go here.
  • If you like lamb, you'll love the lamb meatballs. If you don't like lamb, you'll still love the lamb meatballs.
  • Chinese small plates, come with a group and order everything. Chinese greens, rice cakes, lamb meatballs, & crispy whole prawns (you can eat the shell!). Pay with Cover and skip waiting for the check.
  • Mushroom rice cakes were not what we expected...in the best way possible. Try the tofu ribbon salad - super light. Wash down all of the spice with some draft wine (we had the syrah rose).
  • I'm going to buck the trend and say that the crispy chicken is WAY better than the lamb meatballs.
  • The ham rice cakes are great. Check out the wings (with Sichuan peppercorns) and a Tsingtao. Don't forget to pay with Cover!
  • I've tried just about everything on the menu at this point. Favorites include: tofu ribbon salad and the mushroom rice cakes. Don't forget to pay with Cover.
  • $4 Tsingtao bottles? Thank you sir, may I have another...
  • Everything we ate here was totally delicious. Potato balls are like fried heaven, and the spicy pork was great and not crazy spicy. Wine by the glass is on tap, which is eco-friendly and always fresh.
  • The lamb meatballs--everyone says to get them. Everyone is correct. They're unreal good and the best value in the city. Also, the potato balls. Get those too. So tasty.
  • Looking for bite-size deftly meats? You've come to the right place. Try the lamb meatball skewers and the dried beef salad with chilies for the most unique chinese dining experience.
  • It's mostly small plates, so make sure to come with a bunch of people so you can try everything. Because everything is amazing.
  • DONT GO HERE if you have a gluten allergy. Even tho they have a gluten free menu, they cross contaminate food. They asked if gluten free was an "allergy or a preference" - wtf is the difference to you
  • Start with stir-fried mushrooms at this brick-walled Chinese restaurant that imbues local produce with Yunnanese flavors. Other highlights: sausage fried rice, shredded chicken with taro.
  • Yunnan Chinese cooking with modern sensibilities. Mostly shareable small plates with light, bright flavors.
  • Best papaya salad I've ever had... excluding my mom's. lamb meatballs and potato balls FTW.
  • Green Papaya salad and spicy chicken rice. Tonight is my second meal here, third coming soon. Delicious.
  • Lamb meatballs, tofu ribbon salad and Chinese sausage rice. And repeat.
  • With six or more, for ordering efficiency, work backwards by choosing the few things as a group that you *don't* want. Potato balls are my favorite.
  • Surprise hit: tofu salad and mushrooms with fermented chilis
