Foursquare Tips

  • Aside from being a veritable treasure trove of Asian delicacies of the meat, vegetable and noodle varieties, the folks at Yakitori offer classes on topics like how to cook dashi.
  • Sake flight is fun but expensive
  • Authentic Japanese in South End! My favorite is Sunazuri, its so tender and juicy. Kama meshi is delicious too, just be aware that it takes ~20mins to be prepared. Try Zai kushi if its ur first time!
  • Came in Sunday for lunch. The tonkotsu ramen was not the best. Pretty good but the broth is super thick.
  • Annin dofu isnt tofu but a panna cotta-like custard, made with agar agar rather than gelatin. Wobbly, rich with cream, lightly almond flavored, it is a perfect, cooling end to a meal.
  • A true delight! Must haves for your meal are the Nanban Zuke, Karaage, and the Kalbi
