When it comes down to it, which of these two countries has the better culinary scene?

Italy and France: Two countries that have long reigned supreme when it comes to culinary destinations. Most people in the States associate good food or good wine France and Italy without the slightest hesitation. But when it comes down to it, which of these two countries has the better culinary scene?

Italy has pizza.

When it comes to pizza, there is no contest. Italy will always come out on top. And seriously, who in this world doesn’t love pizza?

France has croissants.

But the beauty of a perfectly light, fluffy croissant starts the morning off perfectly. Perhaps a shmear of jam to give it an extra bit of flavor if you fancy it, matched perfectly with an espresso.

Italy has mozzarella.

Slices of fresh mozzarella are truly a gift from the heavens above

France has Cheese.

Not only does France have cheese, but they even have baked Camembert. What more could you ask for?

Italy has arancini and zeppole.

Not only is Italian food amazing, but Italian street food is beyond wonderful. Arancini and zeppole are just two of the amazing treats that you can find amongst the street food in Italy.

France has crêpes.

There is nothing better than a warm crêpe, perhaps sprinkled with some sugar, and filled with a banana or some coconut. Crêpes, you had us at hello.
