Foursquare Tips

  • Infuriating. Loved this place until they wouldn't let me box up food to take home. Rude & unnecessary. Apparently it's an owner's policy to preserve the integrity of the food. Wow. #notcomingback
  • the best dessert we've had in a long time!! make sure to leave some room for the sticky pecan bread pudding, the apple pie and the banana pudding. they are not that big so get them all!
  • No. 11. Vanilla-infused bourbon, lemon, mint. Simple, perfect.
  • Great bar crowd, an extensive gin list, and craft cocktails, with a menu of modern British-inspired fare.
  • Bloody Marys are made with gin and taste delicious.
  • drink an eastside on the westside. bartender says if u have 1 u'll have 9. ha! here we go.
  • Excellent cocktails, date lighting. Appropriate amount of exposed brick.
  • Awesome brunch..avocado w poached eggs and watermelon salad
  • Getting a Pimm's cup is usually a cop out, but this is the best one I've ever had on either side of the Atlantic.
  • Our favorite place in the West Village for gourmet English comfort food. The cocktails are great, particularly if you're a gin-lover.
  • Finish your meal in under 90min, otherwise the manager will inform you that you must leave bec they have people waiting, despite the fact you are still in the middle of your dinner. Never going back
  • Highly recommend the bone marrow appetizer when it's on the menu.
  • Get the No. 11. Best Vanilla Burbon on the planet.
  • Cheddar chive scone!
  • Everything disappointing, but maybe you are already here. Stick to the apps to keep the price down and save your $ for someplace else.
  • The mushy pea fritters are amazing and the East Side cocktails. Get the beet ravioli special, you won't be sorry
  • Obsessed w/ the No. 1 cocktail -- tastes just like a delicious cup of tea!
  • Root vegetables with lentil- awesome. Dessert- apple Charlotte for two.
  • The numbered cocktail program keeps up with the crisp bar vibe but adds some color to contemporary concoctions like the No. 7 (Flor de Cana/allspice dram/Carpano Antica/nutmeg).
  • The shrimp toast and burger were surprisingly really good! I had come just for drinks (both no. 14 and my gin and tonic were too sweet imo) but the food made up for it.
