Wendy's Gets Into The Late-Night Menu Game

Plenty of fast-food chains are open until midnight or later, and they've come up with some creative ways to make sure you know about it, and take advantage of it. Taco Bell has its "Fourth Meal," Jack in the Box has its $6 "Munchie Meal," McDonald's has been testing out an "After Midnight" menu of limited breakfast and burger offerings until 4 a.m., and Burger King has been rumored to be about ready to step its toes into the fray. And according to Burger Business, Wendy's has come out with a late-night option of its own.

The new "$5 Moonlight Meal Deal" is a part of the chain's "Better Later" campaign, and is only available after 10 p.m. As opposed to a full menu, though, it's one gut-busting combo: a Double Stack burger, chili cheese fries, and a large drink.

Depending on the drink choice, that equals out to anywhere between 970 and 1,300 calories. But when you're craving a double cheeseburger and chili cheese fries at midnight, calories most likely aren't the first thing on your mind.
