Waiter Receives $5,000 Tip
An anonymous couple tips their favorite waiter at a Rice Village café
Today on The Daily Meal
A waiter in Rice Village had an exceptionally good weekend when a couple of regulars left him a $5,000 cash tip.
Waiter Greg Rubar has worked at Rice Village’s D'Amico's Italian Market Café for 16 years, according to an article from Eater.
Rubar, a father and husband, lost his car due to a storm recently and had been using the restaurant’s car, owned by Nash D'Amico and Brina D’Amico Donaldson.
The couple respected Rubar’s work ethic so much, they chose to help him out.
“Go by yourself a car,” the man said when he paid for their $26.95 meal with an envelope containing $5,000 to Rubar. No word yet on what Rubar plans to buy.
