Foursquare Tips

  • This very cool haunt just opened in the Arts District & from the imaginative dcor & spacious patio to the occasional free shots & hip music to set the mood, this is a barflys dream.

  • Welcome to one of my FAV bars in DTLA! You must try the "Hanzo" cocktail! CHEERS!
  • Make sure to order the Penicillin if you like scotch bases cocktails.
  • Live music, cool people, strong yet imaginative drinks, and amazing food (try the carne asada tacos)! The bar is reminiscent of a 1940's big tent circus and everything has a vintage feel. Yasmine
  • Stick to the fast-moving beer line. Cocktails are fancy and instead of just getting them out, the bartenders give them love. Took me 25min just to get up to the bar.
  • Beers and live bands. Best place ever! - Matthew Herrick, DTLA - The Series
  • great bar in a sketchy looking part of town...a gem
  • Beer& shot $8
  • Hanzo cocktail is the shit ... when replaced with vodka instead of gin. YUM!
  • You gots to try the Downtown Btown w/a shot of Blackheart Spiced Rum.....and some Bacon Bourbon Caramel Corn....its so darn good!!!!
  • Great cocktails and a wide selection of beers on tap. Plenty of seating outside for larger groups. Come here for live music, it's usually pretty great with no cover.
  • Can be crowded on a Saturday night but the venue is oh-so worth it. The Ilium cocktail is a personal favorite and the fries, they are to. die. for. (Muahahahaha )
  • Check out the LA hootenanny
  • Amazing drinks and a great vibe. Ask Lauren the blonde bartender to surprise you with one of her mixed drinks and you won't be disappointed. I will be coming back.
  • Totes hipsters. I did have fun. However, to pay $15 for a Moscow Mule, I'd like to see cuter hair n both men and women. Best thing about this bar: the awesome mirror piece above the bar!
  • Call ahead and reserve a table. Or sit at a "reserved" table and hope you don't get bumped.
  • Really cool motif. Drinks are expertly crafted and delightfully aromatic. Live music. Open space. Pretty awesome
  • Advertised days are Wednesdays-Saturdays, but the Tavern also opens on Tuesdays for locals. Go early for 1/2 price cocktails and meatballs from Great Balls on Tires, a food truck in the parking lot.
  • no contest - best place to see bands in LA. Got a great Austin vibe
