About Me

The acclaimed Maine-born chef began his culinary career over 44 years ago with several line cook jobs in Maine during the mid-1970s. Gagné’s first Head Chef roles came soon thereafter; the talented chef would work in several prominent inns and restaurants throughout Maine before joining a Caribbean tour on a yacht owned by California’s four-star La Costa Country Club. Recruited by the resort as a rounds cook, Gagné soon was elevated to Spa Chef. Today, Gagné is President of Gagne Foods, a family owned frozen baked goods manufacturer specializing in biscuits, pastries and pie doughs and the creator of Robinhood Meetinghouse, a frozen baked goods brand sold in natural and specialty retailers nationwide. Robinhood Meetinghouse is named for the Robinhood Free Meetinghouse restaurant of Georgetown, ME – referred to as “a culinary oasis” by The New York Times and featured in the James Beard Restaurant Directory. Gagné, 58, was honored in 2008 with “Chef of the Year” Award by the Maine Restaurant Association.
