Foursquare Tips

  • They've got the best house-made charcuterie, crazy-low prices (a ten-course tasting menu for two for $60!?), and smart food that applies elements of molecular gastronomy to Midwestern traditions.
  • Try the Dessert. This always-changing dessert plate is all about mad scientist geekery.Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, February 2011
  • The chicken and egg a breaded and fried poached egg, with runny yolk, paired with layered dark meat chicken with mushrooms and a brothy gravy is as succulent as it sounds.
  • Andrew Zimmern sampled a unique take on farm fresh food here, one of the most innovative restaurants in the Twin Cities and in the US.
  • Order a Surly on tap and your chef/server will likely suggest you make it a Fender (a mix of Furious and Bender beers). Just go with it.
  • Beet Salad Yum!
  • Be sure to try the bleu cheese tater tots and the dessert sampler
  • Food is all quite tasty. Figlets were great as was the beet salad (wished they used all fresh beets though). Smaller plate item are all about presentation and the larger items are not so much.
  • Tasting menu is the way to go. Not into that? Then do the dessert tasting! You will not be disappointed!
  • Try the 10 courses for 2 people for $60
  • The beet salad is so unexpectedly good.
  • Don't be in a hurry and have patience with the service. The food is worth it.
  • This place is not for the laid-back or the unadventurous. Unique food, presentation, staff, music, and atmosphere. Tasting menu FTW. Be prepared to wait for seating.
  • 15 course tasting!
  • Fabulous food. Great energy. Fun staff. But do NOT bring a crabby husband who isn't prepared to wait 3hrs for a table.
  • Must stop destination!
  • 10 course tasting dinner for 2 = $60. Each dish is brought out and explained by the chef that makes it. Yum City.
  • 10 courses for $60? Just do it!
  • Phenomenal!! Get there early or hang out in the bar for a couple beers or wine while you wait. It's worth it. Get the 8 course.
  • The 8 course tasting menu for two is $10 cheaper on Tuesday & Wednesday - and I'm stuffed!
