McGovern Centennial Gardens

Instead of bringing flowers to a proposal, bring your beloved to the flowers. Once known as the Houston Garden Center, the McGovern Centennial Gardens have spent the last year undergoing renovations to showcase plants in a beautiful format. Located in Hermann Park, just across from the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the new gardens will be the perfect place to propose if your significant other likes to be surrounded by natural beauty in a formal garden. The cooler fall weather means that it will be more comfortable for you and your loved one to stroll through the gardens.
The fall is the best time to check out the Spindletop Restaurant before it gets too packed for the holiday season. This rotating restaurant located high above downtown Houston offers spectacular views that cannot be beat. It has been the site of many proposals, and you can plan yours there, too. Every seat in this restaurant has a view of the outside because it is built with several levels of dining space. Don’t worry about the rotation ruining your dinner. This restaurant moves at a leisurely rate of one rotation in three-fourths of an hour.
The Texas Renaissance Festival is a place many people go for romance during the fall. This year’s festival runs on weekends from now through November 30. Come out in period dress and enjoy the feasting, sights and sounds of the festival, and if things go right, you could also become engaged. This place is so romantic that the festival also offers weddings. Why not propose at the same place? You can plan your entire weekend around a trip to the Ren Fest. Spend your days at the festival, and stay at one of the nearby hotels. It’s a great way to have a vacation with your significant other without going too far from Houston.

If your idea of a perfect proposal is a carnival atmosphere surrounded by quality dining options, a yacht that offers tours of the bay and a premium hotel, you should go down to the Kemah Boardwalk. There are many things to do at Kemah, including playing midway games and riding the rides like the roller coaster the Boardwalk Bullet. The Fantasea yacht tours include fine-dining meals at night or public tours of Clear Lake and Galveston Bay during the day.
Imagine popping the question at the top of a brightly lit Ferris wheel overlooking downtown Houston. The easy atmosphere of the restaurant and relaxing view of the fish makes this a romantic spot for many, and with the cooler fall weather, it will be perfect to enjoy a ride on the Ferris wheel or on one of the other rides
