Kevin Pemoulie (former chef de cuisine at Momofuku Noodle Bar and sous chef at Craft Bar) opened his own restaurant on Friday in Jersey City. The menu will be seasonal and "Jersey-focused."

Amazing fried corn gnocchi - it's like Italian tater tots.
The chilled squid appetizer was delicious and Kevin's moms lemon bar was perfect to split between a group of 6 of us.
Great table, but food was overpriced and mediocre.

The dijon pickled-red cabbage corn-beef appetizer is insanely good!
As of last month, they only offer a $75 p.p. tasting menu, but you can still order small la carte dishes at the bar.
Thirty Acres now solely offers a 5-course, $75 tasting menu. Adjustments can be made for vegetarians, and dishes like the 40-day aged Rib Eye and the Celery Root Cappelletti are superb.

Lemon. Bars. They are a must. Hamachi and Pork Neck are also great. But if you didn't have the lemon bar, you did it wrong.

Wow, this place is legit. I can't tell you what to order because the menu's always changing, but we had a duck sausage gnocchi that I'll be dreaming about for weeks. Everything we had was outstanding.
