If you want hip Cajun food without pretenses, the is the place for you. Try the rabbit and dumplings served in a cast-iron skillet: the perfect tribute to traditional New Orleans cuisine.

Calling itself a "butcher shop and swine bar," they serve the best muffuletta in town and some damn good boudin. Everything else is good, too. [Eater 38 Member]

Cochon Butcher isn't just a fantastic butcher shop and deli hiding behind the famed Cochon - it's home to crazy good small plates, a decent bar, and the best sandwiches in town. [Eater 38 Member]

This eatery was one of the first to open in New Orleans after Katrina, and it's a joyous celebration of Louisiana's Cajun roots. Try the homemade andouille sausage in a traditional gumbo.

Cochon Butcher is a wonderland for meat-lovers, the Willy Wonka Factory of delicious deli-meats,and for in our opinion, the Cold Roast Beef sandwich is the golden-ticket.
