Portland’s best German-style beer bar and restaurant, Stammtisch, is producing its 1st annual Oktoberfest party this September 19th and 20th (the 19th being the official start of of Oktoberfest in Munich). Stammtisch will be closing off NE Flanders between 27th & 28th Avenues and taking the party out into the street with an extended biergarten and BBQ!
The party starts Friday, Sept. 19th at 5pm out on the street, with things really getting going at 6pm when they tap the ceremonial keg to mark the official start of Oktoberfest (just as in Munich, where the mayor does it).
This is a benefit for Stammtisch neighbors Youth Guidance Association, to which part of the proceeds will be donated.
Friday, Sept. 19th: Pub opens at 3pm, street party 5pm-10pm, then the celebration continues on inside until 2:30am.
Saturday, Sept. 20th: Pub and street open at noon, street closes at 10pm, and the pub carries on until 2:30am.
