Soleto Trattoria & Pizza Bar Opens in Los Angeles
The Innovative Dining Group adds another restaurant to their portfolio
The Innovative Dining Group is at it again. The restaurant powerhouse opened their 13th restaurant since 1997, officially welcoming Soleto Trattoria & Pizza Bar to their line of California restaurants.
At the corner of South Figueroa and West Eighth Street in the heart of the financial district of Los Angeles, Soleto opened their doors to customers for the first time July 17 offering Southern Italian fare and hand crafted pizzas.
"Last night was the official hard opening," said Vanessa Kanegai of hospitality marketing firm Wagstaff Worldwide. "They have been in their soft opening phase holding private events and preview dinners for the last several weeks."
The menu offers a variety of price points in addition to a diversified menu comprised of pizza, antipasti, and salads in addition to their entrée options. House specialties include the grilled oyster mushrooms with grana padano and white truffle lemon vinaigrette, and the 801 burger with bacon and Cheddar cheese served with salad or fries.
Patrons dine amongst the handcrafted reclaimed hickory bar, which offers seating for 30 in a 360-degree design. A glass chandelier anchored from the 20-foot ceilings above lights the bar. Exposed beams and reclaimed wood floors give the restaurant an "Italian street-side café" feel with the brick walls throughout giving an "industrial chic" touch.
"We looked to design Soleto as a destination dining trattoria," said Christian Schulz who led the design team of Studio Collective. "We wanted to capture an approachability and comfort through honest materials."
The restaurant offers 3,400 square feet of seating with and additional 1,100-square-foot outdoor patio and large windows looking out onto Figueroa Street.
Soleto is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Those looking to grab a drink can take advantage of the happy hour during the week from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
