Foursquare Tips

  • Thought you'd want to know: Ruxbin has been nominated for Best New Restaurant and Edward Kim has been nominated for Breakout Chef of the Year in Time Out Chicagos 2011 Eat Out Awards. Vote now!
  • Skipping the kimchi taco route that's so popular elsewhere, Kim takes a chance (and succeeds) with dishes like a clever spin on the clambake, Korean chili and calamari stuffed with chicken and pork.
  • The menu changes seasonally but whatever inspired creation chef Edward Kim sets his mind to he executes with precision and grace. The BYOB policy and warm-but-cooky room make it an all-time favorite.
  • Checkout the bathroom.
  • Cute American bistro with the most sinful house-cut French fries with chipotle aioli.
  • Try the calamari from our 100 Best list: Put this calamari stuffed with chicken and pork forcemeat and flavored with Korean chilies and peanuts squarely in that camp.
  • Try the octopus, you can't go wrong!
  • Octopus 5/5. Pork chops 3.75/5 beer sorbet with chocolate donuts 4/5. Berry pastry cake 4.25/5
  • Kudos, for one of the coolest bathroom doors in the City of Chicago. It's like entering a spaceship.
  • The salads, flatbread and fries are good to start. Liked the pork entree, but skip the soba. Byob.
  • aMAZING!!!!!!!! A gem in this city I'd drive hours just to eat here again
  • eVerythingggg
  • Don't be scared of the bathroom. It's totally legit and you also feel like you're in Clue!
  • Definitely check out the bathroom. So fun! As far as food goes, the mushroom toasts are a heavenly app. Entrees: go with the pork shoulder and hanger steak.
  • Amazing food, try the hanger steak. Amazing.
  • Badass posters and entrance
  • screw the waffles (which are great, btw) get the short rib! the most amazing short rib I've ever had....and get the bread pudding to finish. amazing! (and I'm still sitting at the table as I type)
  • Intimate & Hip, service and food are outstanding and well of my Chicago favs.
  • The food and service was great. If you plan to come here with more than 4 people don't. Would take forever for a table. Empanadas are good, so was the tofu and mojo chicken. The waiting area is small.
  • If you go here and dont check out the bathroom, youre missing half the fun.
