FIG Santa Monica Debuts New Menu

FIG Santa Monica, located in the Fairmont Santa Monica Hotel, has launched a new menu featuring dishes created in their new wood-fired oven and grill.

Chef Yousef Ghalaini crafted a variety  of new dishes incorporating the restaurant's signature Mediterranean flavors. The sharable menu items include a special charred bread balloon with house-made spreads including hummus, eggplant salad, roasted red bell peppers, marinated lentils, and labneh; marinated feta with Aleppo chili; octopus with butter beans; a kale tabbouli salad; roasted beets with mint yogurt; lamb, margherita, peas, and ham pizzas; coffee rubbed New York strip steak; stuffed dates; foie gras parfait; citrus and chili marinated fish, and an angry Maine lobster.

The custom cocktail menu is impressive with a variety of libations including a Ramirez fizz with watermelon chinaco blanco, curacao, black cardamom orgeat, and lime and an Eye of the Tiger with white whiskey, persimmon, amaro nonino, egg white, and cinnamon.

Desserts include a peanut butter crunch bar with caramel rice crispies and milk chocolate ice cream; a strawberry tres leches cake with strawberries, coconut cream, and ice cream; a banana baked Alaska with roasted banana ice cream, blackberry sauce, and meringue; a chocolate pudding cake with malted cream and cashew caramel; and a variety of small batch cheeses.
