Foursquare Tips

  • Its hard to find good chinese food without going to Chinatown, but this place is awesome. Try the szechuan pork dumplings, one of my favs!
  • Be careful if you order online. The dan dan noodles on Seamless says it's made with minced beef but in the restaurant, they say they only serve dan dan noodles with minced pork.
  • Yummy Fried Calamari with spicy salt and pepper
  • The shrimp dumplings were great!
  • Their prawns with spicy cucumber is amazing! I get it everytime I go here. Good service and only Asian place I'll go to in UES
  • Must get wok roasted chicken with thousand chilies!
  • Yummy Dan Dan noodles (delivery pkg)
  • Lovely elegant dark wood interior & great service! Try the pan seared dumplings and noodle dishes, the chili salt & pepper calamari, the fried fish. Spicy but yum!!
  • This is the only Chinese restaurant in the UES I'll frequent. I would recommend sticking to their Sichuan specialities such as Ma Paul Tofu, dan dan noodles, Sichuan pork dumplings, etc.
  • Highly recommend. Dan Dan Noodles and Sichuan Dumplings were awesome. Prawn in spicy cucumber excellent, cellophane noodles w. minced beef great, miso roasted chicken was crispy, not a lot of miso.
  • If you like lamb but don't like spicy, request the cumin lamb. It's not on the menu but very tasty and very tender. The braised shitake with baby bok choy is a good veggie choice
  • Awful! Run away. Not tasty, over fried. Worst Chinese food in a long time...
  • Yes, the dan dan noodles to start. But don't waste your time ordering them for takeout-they lose their spunk. Also, MUST try the snow pea shoots w/ garlic. Worth the price tag and THE BEST Chinese veg
  • Best General Tso's Chicken on the Upper East Side.
  • If you're a fan of spicy, not super hot, but spicy food, try the chicken with spices miso roasted chilli! Delicious.
  • Dan Dan Noodle will bring you sensational appetite. Try some with Tsingtao beer.
  • The best Chinese on the UES dare you to find better (obvi I'm ordering in)
  • Best of the UES but overall Sichuan is always higher quality. Best ambiance of ANY Chinese restaurant in NYC
  • Being a devout Jew.
  • The kung pao tofu is surprisingly good.
