Foursquare Tips

  • That's what she said.
  • Everything tastes great. Make sure to get the pea salad.
  • The chicken is super fantastically awesome.
  • The Maple & Motor of BBQ this is not. Stick to Pecan Lodge or Lockheart.
  • Excellent Brisket.
  • OMG! This has to be some of the best, if not the best BBQ I have had since I have been in Dallas. It is amazing! Everyone should try it!
  • The place is kind of rustic, but the food is really good. Try the brisket and the old time sausage. Both delicious.
  • Very good food. "Slow" is an extremely appropriate word to have in the name.
  • GET the brisket tamales!!!
  • Not a fan of the barbeque sauce very st Louis style, very vinegar tasting. The meat is pretty good and the sides are great...especially the sweet potatoes but they need to add a sweet red sauce.
  • This gets my vote for best in Dallas
  • Smoked turkey rocked as did well rendered old school sausage; it's all about the sides here, and any choice is great!
  • Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!!!!!!!!!!
  • I had a brisket and ribs plate. Mac & cheese and okra. Cornbread is crazy good. Everything is crazy good!
  • Good brisket. Good fried chicken. A really awesome two meat plate. Maybe the best in Dallas
  • I had the brisket and ribs, with corn Breast, greens, broccoli and zucchini. Super good.
  • Best Fried Chicken
  • Pretty good meat, though everyone is pretty picky about BBQ. It's a hard thing to get right, this place is small. But you can taste the quality. Is a few dollars more than I expect to pay for BBQ.
  • The brisket tends to be the most consistent meat they offer, and they will serve that any way you want: lean, moist, extra bark, no bark.Ribs are hit or miss: same with sausage and chicken offerings
  • The Ribs and the Brisket are very good !!!
