Foursquare Tips

  • 1 of the "10 Places to Get a Damn Good Cup of Coffee"!
  • Sit by an open window and watch the white people go by.
  • Low-key Intelligentsia is one of the most respected roasters in America and now has five cafes around the country.
  • Try the Angeleno, it's frothy.
  • Make sure to bring a full battery! Most plugs are shut off.
  • Yes, the coffee is amazing, but don't forget about the amazing beer selection. Have a Delirium Tremens, La Fin Du Monde or Maredsous instead of a coffee some time.
  • LA Weekly's '10 Best Dishes of 2010' - Cappuccino!
  • Fight the Starbucks, enjoy a local coffee joint!
  • If you like coffee, treat yourself to a cup or two here.
  • Highly recommend the Angeleno, iced coffee but more flavor
  • Bring the gourmet-iest of gourmet coffees home with you by Stopping into Intelligentsia and picking up some organic Fair-Trade beans. Bring your KCRW Fringe Benefits Card to sweeten the deal!
  • The coffee here helped me finally realize that all regimes in transport phenomena are relatively bound by the same principles and analogous.
  • Try the Black Cat or the Angeleno, their straight espresso is probably one of the better in Pasadena. Soo delicious.
  • I try to "do" all my meetings here...love everything about this place, least of which is Solo brew.
  • The Mocha drinks are so much nicer than Coffee Bean or Starbucks. Not nearly as sweet and tastes like a darker, richer chocolate.
  • A beautiful reclamation project that pays homage to Old Town Pasadena. Check out the joists, reclaimed woods, structural supports. Oh, the Black Cat Espresso ain't bad either. First look linked below.
  • Grab an iced latte here for that extra kick in the AM or for a afternoon pick me up! A great hangout if you're looking to catch up with a friend.
  • It has a great environment. Best place to get away from all the busy Saturday night craziness and relax for a bit.
  • Their Mocha is made with their house made Ganache, very Delish & the Rustic Apple Tart was tasty. Atmosphere is relaxed but the music is too loud, not enough seating outside. 3/5 Stars
  • Great single-origin pour-over, cappuccinos and hazelnut croissants. Don't expect a cup for less than $5, but drinks are fantastic and they stock Siggi's yogurt!
