Foursquare Tips

  • Expect white tablecloths, four-star service, and elegant Gallic-German fare. That means beer soup with ham hocks, scallion kougelhopf, and foie gras & squab croustillants.
  • Fluke had zucchini blossoms stuffed with lemon and barley and then tied into a pouch.
  • for a 4-course fixed price dinner of this caliber, GK delivers on every level (especially price, which is less than what you'd think for a meal this memorable and luxurious. [>$98/pp])
  • The salted caramel chocolate is to die for. Order the drink, Marie Laveau, it's like an esoteric Manhattan. The beef tartare is delicious - you won't regret it!
  • The chocolate tarte with coffee is the perfect way to end dinner here. We had excellent service - very friendly.
  • In a city full of opulence, this gem stands out-its all about the details, from the delicate glass birds flying overhead to the patterned pillows on each plush booth, and the foods beautiful, too.
  • Grub Street: Winner for "The Absolute Best" Bar Food
  • Crispy Sweetbread, Smoked Diver Scallops, Roasted Cali Squab&Nova Scotia Halibut paired w white burgundy. All moist&delicious. Surprise delight-romaine lettuce topped w basil breadcrumbs. Won me over.
  • Sometimes you want to feel a little fancy. And what could be grander than dining on French quail as you gaze out the window at Bryant Park? A platinum ceiling, reclaimed timber from a Vermont barn?
  • This cushy restaurant has a main dining room where elegant prix fixe meals are served, plus a barroom where the menu includes Alsatian tarts, beef tartare, housemade sausages, and a foie gras torchon.
  • Everything you'd expect. Get here early for a spot. Don't like being in 42nd, but otherwise great atmosphere
  • Morcilla Blood Sausage
  • Get the full course chefs meal. Expensive yes, but the Symphony of flavors, presentation and flavors are absolutely sublime and worth it. Great drinks ask well
  • OMG. One of the fanciest meals of my life. Great food and wine. Quite a treat!
  • Everything is awesome - the 10 course tasting menu is one of the best meals I've had in NYC. Impeccable and friendly service. Great for a special occasion.
  • Scallop first course was so good. Just as every item.
  • The duck is a treat and the breast meat comes also with duck sausage and crispy duck skin. Yummy
  • Sturgeon and sauerkraut came in an applewood smoke cover. Amazing.
  • Pork loin was very special.
  • Coquelles veloute had amazing flavor.
