Foursquare Tips

  • Specials are written on the mirrored wall. Check 'em out (or ask) before ordering.
  • Hidden gem in the richmond area! Blue shrimp is a must
  • Amazing sashimi. Best I've ever had! Skip the sushi and just get plates of sashimi, it's expertly cut and just melts in your mouth. Get the sake tasting, excellent pairings!
  • Nigiri is very good here!
  • Sushi is great. Don't expect anything else. Literally don't have anything else.
  • Don't bother with the sushi. Get the nigiri and sashimi. The salmon yuzu appetizer is great.
  • Really good quality sushi but pretty pricey Uni from Japan markets :/
  • Sushi here is so good. A lot of variety to choose from.
  • Get the seafood salad :)
  • Great little neighborhood spot with an awesome selection of fresh fish! I'm a regular.
  • I really love this place, rolls and fresh fish selection. But I can't get past the stronger-than-normal fishy smell of the place and their water. It keeps me from going back as much as I'd like to.
  • Quiet little spot with a great selection, but the specials menu goes quick.
  • Truffle salt mushroom tempura, and all the bellies! Reasonable price but super hard to find parking.
  • Try the Hochi shots as soon as you get here.
  • No tamago, if you want to try the basic.
  • Sit at bar, better experience- chefs friendly/hook-ups. Nigiri smaller than the usual, smaller rice:fish ratio too, like Jiro's! Fish fresh, faves that night: umimasu nigiri, hamachi shot, ika nigiri
  • Just amazing every time. We sat at the bar for hours.
  • Ginger ice cream was good after sushi.
  • Delicious, creative dishes (plus well-executed rolls and nigiri) that are def worth a try and might become your new faves. Particularly recommend hamachi carpaccio, monkfish liver app, steak tataki.
  • Much better now that it's under new management.
