Foursquare Tips

  • If you haven't had a Bavarian pretzel yet, you need to order it!! Amazing!
  • Out of all the beers I wanted to try. Womp
  • Bluegrass on the patio, Sundays...
  • 80 taps downstairs, 20 more upstairs! Plus the Bavarian pretzel is AMAZING
  • Vegetarians (or carnivores looking to try something different) should try the black bean burger! It is thoughtful, filling and flavorful...far more than a meat substitute stuck on a bun.
  • I'll stick with Jack Brown's
  • This place has horrible customer service. Not comin' back. Food was uber bad too.
  • Callys was so mush better! Great beer, wonderful staff, good food! Harrisonburg classic! Food at ale house is horrid, service is weak, beer is mediocre! We will never return!
  • Love the Bavarian Pretzel
  • 2 dollar burger night every monday!
  • The outside seating area is glorious.
  • Imbibe Magazine recognized Capital Ale House for being one of the Best Places for beer in the South in their March/April 2011 Southern Issue
  • Paulaner Hefeweizen one of the best, Ever
  • Try the troeggenater beer, so good. I think I spelled it wrong
  • The pretzel with mustard is great!
  • $2 burger is a little misleading. Any topping you want is extra plus fries is extra so it soon turns into and $8 burger. So if you want a burger, no toppings and no fries it's a good deal.
  • great beer selection. decent food. no regular beer flights
  • FYI/there are two kinds of pretzels Hot/soft. Hard/cold.
  • I didn't notice before but Alagash is on the sweet side
  • This ain't my first "rodeo" been here before. Couldn't wait to get back. "InnKeeper bring me a glass of your excellent local ale!" Sherlock Holmes The Solitary Cyclist.
