Recipe Courtesy of Dr. Josh Axe, DNM, DC, CNSGolden milk is everywhere these days, and for good reason. Throughout the history of Ayurveda—India’s ancient healing system—practitioners have been mixing warm milk with spices to create a soothing, health-boosting elixir. And today, everyone from bloggers to yogis to stay-at-home moms are sipping this creamy drink.Golden milk gets its color from turmeric, a pungent, bitter spice with health benefits that match and exceed some pharmaceutical medicines. Turmeric provides significant anti-inflammatory effects that can benefit such a wide variety of health concerns, as inflammation is at the root of most diseases. And this Turmeric Latte makes it easy to get it into your diet on a regular basis. With the Turmeric Latte, I’m taking my Turmeric Tea Recipe to new heights by adding even more health-boosting ingredients like cordyceps, reishi and the adaptogen herb ashwagandha. These ingredients have anti-aging and exercise performance benefits and help the body to cope with stress. I can’t think of a better way to cap off a long day!Ashwagandha and 10 Other Foods Everyone's Talking About (But You've Never Heard Of)
