Ah, Pumpkin Chai. A favorite among fans and staff alike, its return to our shelves is how we know fall has arrived. It’s delicious in cupcakes, cookies, lattes, or just on its own. In this recipe, we prepare it on the stove top, like a traditional Indian chai.
Put tea, water, milk and sugar into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain tea into two mugs and taste for sweetness. Add brown sugar to taste if you wish.
For a little taste of pumpkin heaven, serve with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
