Steel Cut Oats With Pears, Cinnamon And Almonds Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 cup blue diamond vanilla almond breeze
  • 1 ripe pear, peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
Directions
  1. Bring Almond Breeze to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir in oats; reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 25 minutes. Stir in pears, brown sugar, and cinnamon and cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes more.
  3. While oats are cooking, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Stir in almonds, oats, and cinnamon; cook, stirring frequently, for a few minutes or until fragrant.
  5. Let cool slightly, then stir in brown sugar.
  6. Spoon hot oats into 2 bowls and sprinkle with oat mixture.
