Inspired by her Ironman race (one of many) in Kona, Hawaii, this açaí bowl swaps low-cal maple water for more caloric and too-sweet coconut water or apple juice.This recipe is provided by created by Kate Weiler, co-founder of DRINKmaple, cookbook author, and sports nutritionist.

Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 ounce frozen açaí (or look for a frozen packet or pouch)
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 2/3 cup maple water, such as drinkmaple pure maple water
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened aloe vera juice
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao nibs
  • 1 tablespoon mulberries (optional)
Directions
  1. Combine all the ingredients (except for raw cacao nibs and optional mulberries) in a blender.
  2. If the mixture is too thick, slowly add almond milk or water and blend until smooth.
  3. Note: Get creative with toppings! Try adding berries, sliced banana, unsweetened coconut flakes, goji berries, sliced almonds, or chia seeds
