Microwave Mac and Cheese

Skip the powdered cheese and messy stove-top cleanup with this easy mac and cheese that will have you reaching for only the best ingredients. Add a handful of spinach or fresh chopped tomatoes if you like.

Ingredients

  • 1/2  Cup  macaroni pasta
  • 1/2  Cup  water
  • Pinch of  salt
  • Pinch of  ground black pepper
  • 1/4  Cup  milk
  • 1/2  Cup  shredded cheddar

Directions

Combine the pasta, water, salt, and pepper into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave the pasta for 2 minutes on high. Remove the bowl, stir, and continue to cook if the pasta needs more time at 2 minute intervals, stirring after each cooking.

Add the milk and cheese to the pasta, and stir to combine. Microwave for 2 to 3 more 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval to form the creamy cheese sauce.
