Christmas on the beach (in the northern hemisphere) may not seem desirable, with freezing temperatures and blustery winds. But, this coffee cocktail offers the opposite experience. Featuring bold flavors of espresso and rum, this drink will have you singing “Let It Snow” with glee in no time.This recipe is courtesy Sam Lewontin, champion barista and KRUPS ambassador.

Ingredients
  • 1 double-shot espresso
  • 1 ounce añejo rum, such as zaya reserva
  • 1/4 ounce simple syrup
  • 5 dash of angostura bitters
  • ice
  • lemon peel, for garnish
  • orange peel, for garnish
Directions
  1. In a pint glass, combine all ingredients.
  2. Stir with ice until well chilled and diluted.
  3. Strain into an old-fashioned glass, over ice.
  4. Garnish with one slice each of lemon peel and orange peel.
