Time Out New York
Order a Sixth Street cocktail, which calls on the complex spices used at the Indian restaurants lining E 6th St. It’s one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011.
Travel Channel
Found behind a “secret” door next to Crif Dogs, this place is a favorite for classic and tweaked cocktails. As seen on Travel Channel’s The Layover with Anthony Bourdain.
Time Out New York
Try chef Sue Torres’s addictive signature Torres Tots, with oozy Chihuahua cheese, chorizo gravy, chile de árbol, chipotle crema and scallions. It’s one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011.
AskMen
Deftly mixed cocktails change seasonally, while the taxidermy stays pretty consistent, & an order of tater tots & Chang Dog (bacon-wrapped, with kimchi) will be the right thing until the end of time.
Mazda
The coolest thing about this place is how you enter- via phonebooth!

Go to PDT and get the bacon flavored bourbon. They use Momofuku bacon fat to flavor it. The tater tots are an excellent companion.

The Mezcal Mule is just the right mix of fruity, sour, smoky, and spicy.

Gilt City
The East Village’s most unsuspecting and sexy speakeasy, where bourbon is laced with honey and hot dogs go gourmet. If prohibition hits again, this is where you’ll find us.
Esquire
Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. (That phonebooth thing? Pretty cool, right?) Ask the bartender to suggest a drink. It'll be excellent.
Metromix
Get away from tourists and loud bars, but "Please don't tell" all your friends. This cocktail king uses precision with Jim Meehan cocktails with a solid wine and beer list.
The Corcoran Group
Go through the phone booth at Crif Dogs and order a Benton’s Old Fashioned with bacon infused bourbon. Cocktails and gourmet hot dogs.
Jason S.
Call the number at 3:00 PM sharp on the day of and make a reservation. Watch your dates face when you bring her to a hot dog stand.
New York Habitat
Despite the name, sorry, we've told and so have many others. Enter through the phone booth and go back in time to a prohibition era speakeasy. Sit at the bar if you can, the bartenders are great.

Bentons Old Fashioned: bacon infused bourbon, maple syrup, bitters. Fantastic.
Joshua H.
Go to PDT and enjoy the Benton's Old Fashioned (made with bacon-infused bourbon) and tater tots with chese and jalepenos.
Nina Y.
Get the Shark: a tiki drink with complexity and class (frangelico AND blue curacao, juice, and lots of rum)
Mark T.
Go here. Get a cocktail. If you're 2 ppl, call anytime and ask to sit at the bar. >2, call at *exactly* 3pm and make a reservation. It'll be busy, so keep retrying.
Tiffany O.
Bring your out-of-town visitors here. Now I know everyone in NY has been here & done this, but man, nothing puts the awe in your cousin's face like going through a phone booth
Mitchell
Get a seat at the bar and ask your friendly bartender for something not on the menu.
