  • Michael White does it again! This spot isn't nearly as expensive as his other upscale restaurants, but the pasta is exceptional. Must order dishes: the lamb crostini, cappelletti, & any of the gelati.
  • It's hard to go wrong with a toothsome pasta filled with truffled mascarpone, in a silky rich butter sauce, but they do it best here. The cappelletti with a sprinkle of prosciutto is the way to go.
  • sit at the bar. start with a negroni. maybe two. listen to the specials. definitely get spiedini. definitely get the gramigna. definitely get the cappelletti. definitely finish with gelato/afogato.
  • My best pro tip for dinner-for-two: skip the entres and order 3 pastas. Any three, no wait, make sure one of them is the Garganelli.
  • The dish you have to get: Cappelletti truffled parmigiano ravioli with melted butter and prosciutto di parma. Everything else is optional.
  • Come here after 9:30 p.m. when all pastas are only $10:
  • Michael Whites newest is one of our favorite spot for Grandma-style rustic Italian. Dont miss the porchetta or the tagliatelle. Featured in Where to Eat 2011!
  • Try the sausage polenta. Creamy polenta is stocked with white pepper & Parmesan, spread w/ pork-sausage rag & capped w/ bread crumbs & melted stracchino. Its one of our #100best dishes & drinks 2011
  • It's a Michael White joint -- can't leave without trying the pastas: stracchino cheese ravioli with truffle butter, or garganelli with speck, radicchio and cream.
  • To avoid the crowd, go for lunch instead of dinner.
  • The Garganelli pasta is amazing, prob the closest you'll get to @chelsa's "I love you pasta"
  • Fabulous stracci pasta with mushroom.
  • Polpettine (meatballs). Rucola (salad). Gramingna (pasta). Grigliata mista (mixed grill meat plate). All these things are my favorites. Also gelato for dessert.
  • One of the best rustic Italian joints downtown. Savor the delicious home made pasta but skip dessert.
  • Michael White's casual restaurant is a winner for nice-but-not-too-fancy meals.
  • Order the Cappelletti pasta - truffled mascarpone ravioli is delicious.
  • The Gramigna was quite good. Macaroni, pork sausage, and black kale.
  • The gelato is some of the best in the city.
  • The corn gelato with caramel corn was the most amazing dessert.
  • Try the mascarpone-stuffed pasta with black truffle, and the veal and pork rag.
