  • Founded in 1850, it's the oldest cemetery in Atlanta. It is the final resting place of many of Atlanta's settlers, builders & most noted citizens like Bobby Jones, Margaret Mitchell & Maynard Jackson.

  • Stop by the Bell Tower (Gift Shop) to purchase a self-guided tour map or sign up for a guided walking tour. Tour times: Sat & Sun -10am, 2, 4, & 6:30pm.

  • Oakland Cemetery has served as the final resting place for some of Atlanta's most influential African Americans since its creation during the 1850s.
  • Every year the "Capturing The Spirit of Oakland" Halloween tour is definitely a must do for anyone looking for a fun way to [legally] roam around a cemetery.
