Delta Partners With Alessi For 'One-Of-A-Kind' In-Flight Serviceware

Delta Air Lines has been making moves to enhance its in-flight experience with a multi-billion-dollar investment bringing in changes from new seats to new entertainment systems, according to the company. Just last month, the airline brought back free in-flight meals for coach passengers on select flights, and now Delta has announced it's taking it one step further with a new set of serviceware produced in partnership with product design company Alessi.

"At Delta we know that every aspect and detail of the travel experience matters, and partnering with Alessi allows us to bring an uncompromising level of elegance and service to the on-board experience," Allison Ausband, senior vice president of in-flight service at Delta, said in a statement.

The Alessi for Delta collection includes 86 "modern, stylish, and functional" new items — including flatware, crystal glassware, stainless steel serving pieces, napkin rings, and more — according to the press release.

The new serviceware will roll out on flights starting April 1.
