Pepsi Actually Released Back To The Future's Pepsi Perfect, And It's Going Fast

Thanks to PepsiCo, you won't need a flux capacitator to drink Pepsi Perfect, the fictional soda featured in Back to the Future II.However, you may need to cough up some serious cash on eBay to purchase some. PepsiCo announced a limited release of Pepsi Perfect in celebration of the day that Marty and Doc arrive in the future (that's today!) and the drink is going fast.

The 6,500 bottles of Pepsi Perfect were released Tuesday night, and were rumored to be sold out, much to the dismay of Future fans who were unable to snag one. But they officially went on sale this morning.

The collectible Back to the Future memorabilia item is being sold on Amazon or on Walmart for $20.15 (get it? It's super pricey because Doc and Marty arrived in the future on October 21, 2015), and features the same exact 16.9-ounce bottle that Michael J. Fox's character orders in the 1989.

We managed to get our hands on a bottle and noted that the first ingredients are water, sugar, and caramel flavor—not high fructose corn syrup–similar to Pepsi-Cola's new soda made with real sugar.
